The 26th of December the Anba Abraham group of Saint Mary and Saint Mark Church, Santa Cruz Bolivia along with the visiting group of missionaries from St. Mark Church in Canada went to serve the community of Ayoreos. The Ayoreo are a native ethnic group of Bolivia who speak the Ayoreo language. Although this community of Ayoreos are currently living in the department of Santa Cruz they are originally from the Gran Chaco, where they combined a hunter-gatherer lifestyle with farming. This community relocated to Santa Cruz in search of a better life for their families. However, they are currently facing difficulties finding work and are living in poverty. For this reason, it is of extreme importance to H.G Bishop Youssef that the Ayoreos are not neglected and the Coptic Church continue to serve them.
